Coffee cocoa Futures prices - Robusta coffee futures Rose September 23 2015 : Robusta coffee futures on ICE rebounded from a 2013 low on Wednesday on a late-day buying spree after falling on pressure from favorable crop prospects in top producer Vietnam.
Arabica coffee prices touched a contract low but also turned higher on short-covering, markets defied the Brazilian currency falling to a record low, which typically pressures prices as it can attract selling from producers in the world's biggest producer of the two commodities.
November robusta coffee dipped to $1,497 a tonne, the weakest for the second month since November 2013, but turned higher in the last hour of trade to settle up $29, or 1.9 percent, at $1,540 per tonne.
Arabica coffee futures recovered from a contract low on light short-covering as some focused on quiet physical dealings in Brazil and concerns about dryness in parts of Colombia and Central America.
December arabica settled up 0.75 cent, or 0.6 percent, at $1.162 per lb, after setting a contract low of $1.1475.

London cocoa climbed to a 4-1/2-year high and technically overbought territory, buoyed by the weak sterling. London cocoa futures were also boosted by concern about dry weather in top producer Ivory Coast, while the New York market rose only marginally as pressure from weak sterling prevented stronger gains.
London December cocoa ended up 18 pounds, or 0.8 percent, at 2,253 pounds a tonne after peaking at 2,254 pounds, the highest for the spot contract since March 2011. New York December Cocoa settled up $3, or 0.1 percent, at $3,315 per tonne.
