Exports of robusta coffee bean from Indonesia

Exports of robusta coffee bean from Indonesia's main growing area of Lampung surged by 140 percent in April, from the same month last year, local government data showed on Thursday. Shipments of coffee beans from Sumatra stood at 11,495.8 tonnes last month, compared with 4,786.2 tonnes last year, as the area harvested fresh beans. On a monthly basis, however, exports dropped from 16,789.4 tonnes in March. The monthly coffee data is released by the Lampung trade office in Sumatra. Figures are often revised as more complete data becomes available.
